if its cored at shaft tip is just a piece of ebony kind of dowelled into the shaft and no actual ferrul as such which would proberbly give a better hi

suppose i have an existing cue that has a brass ferrule, if i were to replace it with the blackspin, would it result in a reduction in total length?
