    I find I can put the smallest amount of oil on leave and buff but still get that squeaky feeling through my bridge so I have taken the finish off and

    Coutts cue oil has to be buffed off after "an hour or so" from the product info.

    once coutts cue oil has been put onto cue it needs to be checked after about an hour to see if it has changed from slippery to starting to go tacky,
