    Default snooker + alcohol = :-p

Saturday evening and my mrs mate has turned up unannounced in tears!!! I'm guessing it's her cheating husband. So I've gone into another room. To leave the women to it. So thought i'd start a thread which tbh will effect a lot of us on here!!!

When I play snooker in my club. I don't usually drink. If I do it's only a couple. However last week. Myself and a neighbour got quite drunk whilst playing snooker. We even did some crazy sambucas. This clearly affected our standard of snooker where we were going for crazy shots. The alcohol clearly loosened and relaxed us. So much so I had a very respectable 89 break under the Budweiser influence!!!! I've noticed a lot of players on match nights or at matches who drink quite a bit and has no effect on their game.
Does anyone on here mix snooker and beer. If so how do you play???
I know ADR147 does beer effected maths!!!!;-)
    Always a pleasure

Made a drunk ton once when I was about 19
Usually though I cant string 20 together. My verdict is that I cant drink and play, so I don't.

    Can't play when drunk!
So it's either 1 or 2 pints or coke for me.

I don't drink during pool/snooker competitions. Too much at stake for the sake of a few beers.
Seen too many games lost because "I'm only having the one"
Practicing and local league games I might have one or two beers, usually I overdose on caffeine (coffee and coke)

I remember a few years ago playing someone in the local snooker club tournament i was losing 2-0 in the best of 5............at 12am they started selling alcohol so my opponents father went downstairs and brought me 2 pints which i demolished in double quick time(very ill from previous nights exertions..........i won that game 3-2 and i know it was the alcohol for sure.

I used to play my best snooker between 3-7 pints then it used to go bad....very bad.

These days i am on medication for MS and alcohol seems to effect me much quicker so i tend to have 2 pints maximum or all hell breaks loose
