Is practicing in this game a good way to practice ? I think I have personally improved a lot playing this game... Also, are there any other pool or snooker simulators out there better than this ?????

No, it's the most realistic. However I think computer games can help your real game, especially if you are a beginner, as you learn how the cue ball reacts with different spin etc, and they are good FUN!
Look out for virtual pool 4, coming very very soon.
I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

Yes Im waiting eagerly for that ... I tried pool hall pro a while back .. Looked pretty good, although some shots where the cue ball had to travel 3-4 rails looked wrong but I dunno I might be wrong here ... I think if you know how to control your mouse in Virtual Pool 3 like the cue in real life, you can make even seemingly impossible shots in real life many times ..

I like to play funkysnooker. Not very realistic in terms of how the cue ball reacts but it is very fun when you get into it, and free!
