I need a professional help

Dear fellows.
Sorry to bother u but I really need some help here.
I'm a not a pool player but a Chemistry researcher trying to describe a new phenomenon I've been exploring during the past few months.

What do u call a strike in which u deliberately use 3 balls? that is, the white ball hits a "go between" and he strikes a third ball into the pocket.
I need a catchy name for this "chain reaction".

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure mate. All I can say is a three-ball plant often used to be referred to as a "Triple Charlie".

Perhaps a "cannon winner" ????

If I understand you correctly you're talking about a basic plant?

Just to be clear, a plant in snooker is when (for example) you have two reds and a white, you strike the white, send it into the first red, the first red then hits a second red and pots it.

In pool I believe the same thing is called a 'combination shot'.

A cannon doesn't necessarily imply a pot on the second red though. Maybe that's the winning cannon Cyril was referring to?

I checked again and I see that murdock is right and a cannon means two hits by the white. I'm looking for a scenario where the first red strikes the second red. what do u say?

If it's the second red that enters the pocket, I say that's a plant (at least in modern language).
