  • Had second session with the grand H tip.
    Played about 4hrs.
This time the tip mushroom Abit. After touching up is fine again
I find the tip is hard, but not dead hard. Suit my game well, still happy with the tip.
The tip mushroom maybe I was playing on a slow table which required abit more effort moving the white :snooker:
Hi Ho The Merry Yo, The Black Went In The Hole~ :snooker:

I would go along with that. none are soft but they are miles better than elks.

        • Isn't the closest thing to the old Elks Diamond Plus?

          • Yes. But I think they are softer than adr calf skin tips.

            • Well, I'd known it for a couple of sessions, my tip had turned into a piece of slate! I'd been putting off changing it as I haven't fitted a laminate before! But thanks to Fisherboi and Shockerz it's not turned out bad at all. Thanks guys.

Changed for the same Blah. They are buffalo hide laminate, like them, and don't have time to experiment. Another reason I left changing it too long.

                          Time to count sheep. Zzzzzzzz.

                          • Ah I was confused as in the Grand thread.

I have moved to Cuesoul soft, the SS were too soft : so few tips are available in 11m+....

                            • has anyone found any difference between the chalked and unchalked versions of the grand tips? I used a pre chalked grand soft which was brilliant but after a while it became rock hard, losing grip and feel. no amount of sanding, picking at it would revive it for long. would the un-chalked version be any better?
