  • which one would you choose?

    hi guys,
can anyone share their knowledge or experiences of the following three manufacturers, I've been looking at all of them and they all seem to be good value for money but I'm not sure who's the best of the bunch?

    Master cue (classic)
    niche (classic)
powerglide (spyder) this one comes with two extensions

    all are similar in price.

I would ditch the Powerglide, the other 2 are ok, if you are not trying before you buy then maybe the Master Cue will hold it's value better than the Niche

Master cue. Some of the power glides are ok but you would have to re-finish it.
      Tear up that manure-fed astroturf!

hi guys thanks for all your advice, I think going by all your comments and a chat with the chap from chesworth cues, The general consensus is that for the budget I have I could do a lot worse than a master cue so that's what im going to go with, the only think to decide now is whether to go classic or pro butt????????

But probutt is going to cost much more than a classic, if I remember correctly.

Hi direct, No theres only £20 difference on Chesworth cue's eBay listings. I don't know whether it's just the aesthetics your paying extra for or if there are any other differences?

I have a friend who went for holiday in Thailand few years ago, visited the mastercue workshop and picked up a classic and a Tudor, which supposedly is in the lower end range. I played with the classic for 2 weeks and it developed a pretty bad warp, whereas his Tudor is arrow straight till this day. So I don't think the range matters, probably just better looking shafts and splices.

Is Martin Chesworth not more expensive then anyone else, GReenbaize http://www.greenbaize.com/mastercue-pro-butts/ has loads of pro butts in stock and you can actually see his cues where chesworth sling a load of cues on a table and says it's the cue in the middle 3rd from right with no definate picture of the cue itself
