  • Whippy v Stiff

What playing differences do you see with the 2? I am talking pool.
I had a 7.5mm mastercue and got so much action on the white, I then upgraded to a JP and had it altered to 8mm but just feel like I’ve lost a lot of the screw, spin etc. And I’m not sure if I should take the JP down to 7.5. The reason I mention stiff and whippy is they do feel like different cues.

I know a few players that love a whippy cue but more seem to have gone towards stiffer cues.
This is something I've been planning on getting back not had to time or a whippy cue..

Can the difference be known playing Pool. Aren't the balls too light to really notice the difference?
The shaft is surely going to play a whole lot different when playing 10ft shots as apposed to 1ft shots?

But I'm just showing my ignorance as I don't play Pool (Black Ball anyway).
      Educate me... :snooker:

Yes it does make a big difference as you will notice how much more side you can get on the white.

Will for so with the old balls, which were a lot lighter.

That is what I want to test on the new balls...
