      yes, use 1500+ and go up then polishing compound and a bit of wax/car polsih should give you super shine.

          Hey Guys, my ferrule is slightly scratched in areas, just wondering what is the best way to remove them/make them barely visible without having to put a new ferrule on, thanks!

            some people say they use very fine wirewool or emery-cloth to buff out small scratches.

            you may want to put some masking tape on the shaft to protect the wood.

              Did mine yesterday with wire wool .

              Looks ok .
              Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

                  Some fine wool I bought on t'internet .

                  Was watching a video by Snooker Crazy , and it inspired me to go and buy a rack of new sandpaper , scalpels , wire wool , super glue etc . The Mrs was giving me some funny looks when it all started to turn up .

                    0000 for me, but like you I only clean the ferrule when re-tipping.

                      I use them same but helps I've used it for work as well.
                      So normally have a roll of it.
