  • Wood types - Partridge wood

Hi, Does anyone have any info or knowledge of the use of partridge wood in snooker cues?

I have seen a cue with a Partridge Wood butt - Taylormade

Would this be worth an investment vs say rosewood butt or just stick with the usual ebony butt?

    About the timber used:

Generally, a plain ebony cue is cheaper when compared to adding splices of other exotic butt woods in snooker cues.

You would have much more chance of selling a rosewood or ebony cue as it's what more people look for.

Personal choice, is a funny thing when it comes to cues.
For that one you've always wanted...

Been a while but here is the pic of the Partridge wood cue (one on left)

          info on site:
These 3/4 cut cues are in rosewood/partridge with a choice of tulip or partridge veneer splice work to catch the eye, complete with the Taylor Made badge on the base.

Choice of two different blended veneer wood finishes.
