  • Enquiry before buying - eight ball english cue

    Hy guys,

I was playing 8 ball english pool when i was student... I don't even remember that period!
I've been spending almost 15 years in Africa, only playing American 8 & 9 ball on low quality tables (9 to 12 ft).

Back in France where 8 ball english pool rules this froggy world.
I've been to the local pool club where 50% of players are english lol.
They all have their own idea: cue craft, paragon, riley, master cue, etc...

I think that forum is always advisable and i would appreciate any suggetion.
    I like tips 8 to 8,5mm.
I learned to play with round and super soft tips as many guys 25 years ago.
I like sensitive cues providing medium effects. medium weight cues.

Preferably cues from manufacturers, easier to find local seller.
Price: from 100 to xxx€ (GBP would also suits lol).

    Thanks

There is a cue maker located in france (cue design), it may be worth looking into what they can do if you wanted a custom cue

        Thanks for quick replies

Chevillotte is only selling ONE cue model (cue craft PC14, 8mm tip). I guess it could match my requirements.
Cue Design seems very good, nice craftmanship.
Price ranging from reasonable to "don't talk about it to my wife". seems worthy, i'll contact them.

        thanks

Yes they do have a website in french language... nothing for UK citizens.

Have a word with ADR, he's got some nice looking cues on ebay at the moment that will probably be around your budget delivered to france, look really good value cues available in 1 piece and 3/4 at around £70 if memory serves?
No one is listening until you make a mistake!

I prefer holding the cue in hand before buying it. So web stores or ebay...
                thanks

                        Hello ADR147,

Where can I test your suitable cue in France before buying it? I have to remind that requirement which was given in thread creation (a brand i can find in local shop).

                            Hy,

During the last WE i did test and buy a Cue Craft, Monarch model dedicated for pool. Got it at an interesting price (vendor emptying old stocked).
Did play a while, good shaft and perfect cue feeling and response.
