I guess this is where my passion turns into an obsession.... 4th table in 2-1/2 years....but this one is a keeper at least that is what I told my wife..... I guess we will have to wait n see. But the old story everything is for sale for the right price. But with the hours I have put into this table it would take a very big offer to sell it..

Well, is your life and your money. If you like to do this, why not???
It would be nice indeed, if this one stays ( as u say : a keeper )!!!. I think you can improve your game much better, this way.
Of course, that's just my opinion.
If you were my neighbor, I would come to visit every day.lol,,,

We are still going to do the Toronto thing one Friday before a qualifier then back to my place then down to the qualifier in the morning. Maybe I will have my table setup by then. Kind of ran into a stumbling block. It's called work. No time to get the rest finished. I have 6 legs and the strips left.

Yea really even tho I am not much of a drinker. I just love Snooker Tables. They seem to fascinate me. I guess it is no different then a car buff bring old cars back to original condition as I cal Show Room Condition. I have one more slat bolt cover to do then I am onto the legs. A little progress happening but not as quick as I would like.

Hi everyone a couple new photos. I sanded out the slats and stained them so I figured while I had the stain out I would stain one of the ends skirts. I have to admit my table is going to very special when it is up and playing. Now I start on the 6 legs that are left this weekend and hope to be ready to send out everything for spraying by mid next week.

                      Hi Les

don't get the polish too thick on those slide in bolt cover panels for the cushions , and rub candle wax on the rebate edges so that they slide in and out easy for future maintenance .

maybe one waft over to seal the panel , then mask those edges before giving the face a good thicker polish .

I have seen these panels stuck in and broken in the past due on these BCE Westbury's being too tight and being forced in by the fitter. they also take some clearing of the pocket net and leather .
So fit side cushion woodwork without corner pocket plate on , insert the slide in panels , then fit end cushion wood with corner plates and these two end panels will be the only ones to get past the nets and leathers .

                      looking good

                      Geoff

Thanks Geoff for your expert advice. I will make sure my cabinet guy puts some painters tape on the edges before he sprays. I am only going with a 20% sheen so it will not be real thick. Question Geoff can you send me your little template or instructions that shows how to string the leathers again. You sent me them when I did my last table but now I cannot find them and not sure if I can remember?

New addition to my table. Two down four to go. These new pocket leathers are going to be the perfect addition to my refurbished table.

You and me both. I am dropping the last six legs off with a guy tomorrow to have him strip them then I will finish sanding them to get any dings out of them then I will finish staining everything and then off for spraying. Couple weeks I hope to be playing my refurbished table.

Hello Everyone, finally some more progress. I have all the table parts stained except for 6 legs which I get back from the restoration company tomorrow and then have to sand them down. I am dropping all the other parts off tomorrow night to be finished and should have them back by the weekend. I hope the guy will take my table next week. I hope to be playing on my Westbury by the following weekend. Getting very excited.
