  • Looking for a cue maker

A request from a friend of mine, he’s looking for a cue maker to make a cue using only ebony butt, ash shaft to his requirements. Wants it weighing 17.5 but weight only from wood, no additional weights fitted inside.

What are your thoughts and recommendations?

    Many thanks

    Brett

Budget is not an issue for the right cue.

Without adding weight 17.5 would be difficult for a one piece ash, what are The cue specs?

Is that a no to a joint too? Otherwise sounds difficult to achieve

you might end up with the weight and balance in the wrong place if try and get to 17.5 without adding any weights.

Yes with a joint it's more doable as it acts as a weight.
I made this with No weight and with 22" splices and it turned out just over 16oz. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uTyjAibB0GE
So a joint would be The way to go..

Gavin Mengham is highly recommended on the south coast. He is based just north of Portsmouth.
