You can tell the old cue as the badge is a few inches up the butt than is usual.
the reason for the badge to be higher up than normal is he had a bit chopped off the tip end and the ferrule replaced then had a piece of ebony added to the bottom to make the length up again. Thats why the badge is higher.

Yes of course that is the reason as mentioned by the additional work that JP has done to it over the years and also why, as Stevie said, the butt splices are so long

in has last few years when hustling round the pubs of manchester he would use any cue he could get his hands on, and 90% of the time give it away if he lost to the winner

White's Hunt & O'Byrne cue was sold years ago to a collector in China, the one he has been using since 1999 is a Parris ultimate. Its a bit of a weird looking cue as the butt was initially round but a piece was added to it with a flat. And as you can see the badge is oriented differently.

Adr had a few pics of it, these are 2 of them.

it still means that the JP cue he is using has been altered a few times as the cue he is using has a badge higher up the butt than usual

Does anybody really know the POOL cue Alex used when playing pool, like in the Mosconi cup with Jimmy. Or what cue was jimmy playing with in the cup?
