Does he want the elbow to stay up? Most to pros drop the elbow as they play the shot and they cue straight. I would cobwebs on the cue.

        "cobwebs" love it Gav

"Most to pros drop the elbow as they play the shot..."
apart from the obvious elbow dropper, ROS, who else does?
Most I see as fore-arm pendulum and no drop.

I tried it once and it hurt my elbow - if you recall in our session all those years ago

I thought most (nearly all) did drop on deep screw shots' but not to the extent ROS does.

My guess is that it is due to driving through the CB with the hand as well as fore-arm.

Yes. Most players drop the elbow slightly as they come through just not as much as osullivan. Murphy drops his elbow quite a lot. Definately not just O'Sullivan.

Tbh I assumed very few did until I noticed John Higgins doing it. I had him at the opposite end of the Cue Action Spectrum, with Hawkins, who I'm confident does too.

I think Judd and Jack are among the ones who do it least, which may be a surprise due to what they put on the CB.

I haven't obsessively studied this, lol, so there may be loads that don't especially among the Far East players.

Could Judd's moving bridge arm be countering the initial question? When he was young his cue was longer than he was tall so may have caused something similar?
