  • Old ivory badge

Does anyone know if the engraving on an old ivory badge can be re done..the badge is an old Tom Newman 1370...I'm planning on a full refurb as it's looking a bit tired👍

The 1370 break cue was probably made between 1924/5 and 1931 [this break being made in Nov24 and the next break (1814) in 1931].
When would you say ivory stopped and plastic took over for badges?

Newman's 1,370 was made on 1st November 1924. Large cue plates were mostly plastic after the 1914-18 war, but some top-end cues were still ivory.
