Is a 143% mark-up for a second hand cue common practice in cue retail?

Cue was re tapered and cut down to take a 9.5mm tip then totally re finished , let's not forget the original owner had been offered £700 for cue but could not be bothered with the hassal of packing cue insuring and posting, his choise ,as for mark-up the whole idea is to get the best possible price for cue not necessarily the asking price .

I do believe this info was omitted from his original post, well how can he complain then ?? he knew the approx market value, i'm damn sure i would put up with the 1/4 of an hour hassle to save myself well over £300 !!!
