    I would say that 9.5mm tip/ferrule size will be good for a starter

      I've had a couple of Jim's cues, and they are great value, nice guy to deal with to.
      No one is listening until you make a mistake!

        FOS13 is from the shetlands. Maybe try some of his cues , as he's always buying and selling.

            don't know if you have already got your cue but try Mastercraft hand made cues. the Black prince cue is in your budget.

              just buy blind off the net, any old stick will do if you are half decent apparently!
