Sounds very much like John Higgins.

I think it suits him best. Williams is at times capable of it,although we all know that he will not prefer this way. And if Selby can improve his break building a bit, he will be in this class in the future..

A Player makes 3 Centuries while you sit and watch but when youre chance comes its forgoten about and you make a century.

Stephen Hendry did that more than any other player...

he never changed his game plan and eventually he potted the balls and won most matches.

Hendry is a great, Higgins and Williams are both greats as well, and they've won a total of 72 ranking events, 12 world titles, so fair enough to say they seem to have sticked to matches, right?

On the other hand, you may turn into The Hurricane, The Whirlwind and The Rocket
    They're in a different class,though.

Ability to put quickly behind bad performances/runs of bad luck and look forward. As well as during the match (if one misses an easy pot etc) and between the matches and tournaments (if one loses a tight match helped by opponents good luck or gets white-washed or let a match slip despite a big lead etc).
