I find it more of an apple pie than a strudel

Only ever meet people who are interested by playing in clubs .

I would recommended that you join a club and try to play local league snooker .

Don't be worried about that, there'll be people of all standards. Don't underestimate the benefits of solo practice though, especially when starting. Try to vary your routines and record your highest score and try and beat it. Make things interesting. I can understand wanting to play against people, it can get boring just doing solo practice. Maybe best to get a practice partner you play with regularly and do plenty of solo practice in between. Making friends try snooker can be a thankless task, maybe better to find people locally who are already into the game.

Maybe you could post on here looking for practice partners, stating your area etc... Good luck

Probably best to make a new thread if you're looking for a practice partner
