        Thanks.

I thought it was interesting.....one of the commentators pointed out that there is virtually no luck involved in 3-cushion. It is entirely a game of skill.

I've played this game a few times. It is very very difficult, but in a completely different way than snooker. I found that cueing with low stance and chin on your cue isn't optimal at this game. In fact, I only started making some points when I switched to upright position.
After a few pointers from carom players you get better at shot selection, but judging the correct amount of spin and speed, amount of contact with first object ball, feel for cushions...requires a lot of time. My highest score was 4 in a row. But I will not reveal most misses in a row...
FerruleFox, you can fluke points at this cue game just like any other. There's always luck involved, maybe not as much as in pocket games.

Yeah, I guess at the amateur level there would be fluked points.

The pros seem to use very controlled weight on every shot in order to leave their cueball close to one of the object balls so I guess there wouldn't be too many flukes at that level.

Good match so far with Blomdahl and Kim... 40-30.

I'm still amazed these guys can avoid the double-kiss. Their two-ball control is unbelievable.

                              Three Cushion televised this weekend!

the president of Agipi loved carom and sponsored the event for years but last year he retired and the company was not going to continue
                              shame
funnily enough earlier today I did a search and as you say there is no carom anywhere that I can find

that's a great shame ... I used to love the Agipi tournament - watching both the skill and style of the top 3 cushion carom players was awe inspiring ...
