PHIL Mumford (Bury St Edmunds) and Chris Taylor (Boston) will meet in the third final of the English National Billiards Championship, formerly the CIU Championship.

Mumford, champion in 2012 and runner-up last year, complied eight centuries in just five hours play in the round-robin and semi-final stages at Grantham Snooker & Pool Club.

The pair will do battle over four hours during the EASB finals weekend at Northern Snooker Club, Leeds, on June 7-8.

Losing semi-finalist Adam Clarke was praised for his continued improvement and touch and group-stage casualty Steve Stokes’ quality of play was noted by his peers.
