I'd never heard of their Butlers Wharf workshop, Will Hunt lists a dodgy one mentioning it then this appears also mentioning it.
Yeah that one is mine. The Butlers Wharf building was just across the road from my old office, St Christophers House, near London Bridge. Went to the workshop on the advice of a friend and had the cue made for me. Cost £125, including a 'Silver Fox' aluminium case back in the mid 80s.

Why do people make cues that way, the shaft section, big long slab of ebony than 4 little dumpy looking splice fingers. =/

Doesn't look the nicest piece of maple either, for an ultimate cue I would hope for a clean unmarked shaft.

There's dents below the badge in the very first pic. The splices on it are laughably bad, "ultimate" my arse. There's a lot of cue makers that wouldn't let something that bad out of their workshop, and actually fixing the splicing and making it more snooker spec would cost quite a bit.

you couldn't order that number even if you waited 10 years
Yeah let's ignore the fact the splicing is crap, it has dents in the butt but is described as "new", it has a ridiculously small tip. But it's all about the numbers in the badge...

So dents in the butt, wonky splicing, a tip suitable for sewing with, and all for a STARTING bid of £2500. Sign me up.
