    Without doubt loctite superglue gel is the way forward.

        I used to think the same until a crafty cue maker showed me this one that goes over the top and doesn't actually 'Clamp' the side of the cue and leave ugly dimples!! But you're right, with the super glue you really don't need the clamp as a necesssary!
        what is this clamp, have you got a picture o do you know were i can get one..

          No pics! Don't use one! If you retip with loctite you won't have to. These
          things just damage your cue too easily. They're supposed to apply pressure
          to the tip and hold it in place whilst the glue is drying. But even with a tip-
          cement the better way is just pressing it by hand.
