  • Huge thank you mike wooldridge

    Hi all,

I dont know about you lot but If things go wrong, in any walk of life, I am the first to moan and complain. On the same note, when someone does that extra bit to help, I will be the first to say Thank You.

I have a Mike Wooldridge cue and have been looking for a Wooldridge cue towel for what seems like an eternity. I messaged Mike a few weeks ago asking him if they were in production. He informed me that they were not, but mentioned that he may have an old one in his guitar case....I messaged him my address and within a few days my cue towel arrived in the post........Mike described it as an "old one"............F*%k me....its brand new.........and Mike wouldnt even let me pay for it as it was just lying around in his guitar case.....

Customer service at its very, very best.

Cheers Mike, and as I said in my e-mail......if you are ever in Liverpool, giz a bell so I can at least buy you a pint.

    Fred
You may defeat me but I will fight you to the very end!!!!

The only advice you need is...order with confidence as you will not regret it one bit. The very best cue I have ever owned.

I heard somewhere that he plays in a band and does quite a few gigs.
Obviously that does not mean he can play very well but knowing Mike as we think we do, I am sure he is good

i'm no guitar hero, i'm a strummer/rhythm man mainly. just back up my singing really.

yep, my band. we're gigging at the woodman in purbrook saturday night if anyone is in the area...

                  new songs this week include:

fun - we are young (no jokes please, i look younger than i am and can pull this off comfortably )
train - drive by (my latest favourite track)
rizzlekicks - mama do the hump (yes, i rap and can sing that high in the chorus)
gotye - somebody i used to know

                  along with regulars:

killers (my favourite band) - all these things i've done, mr brightside (awesome version, my 'theme' song saved for encore)
jam - down in the tube station, town called malice (officially last song of every gig, guaranteed to get people up)
kings of leon - the bucket, sex on fire (played to death but still a monster)
radiohead - creep (could have been written about me )

plus a sprinkling of pop for dancing ladies...:

                  lady gaga - bad romance
maroon 5 - moves like jagger
                  sugababes - about you now
jessie j - price tag (more rap)
black eyed peas - i gotta feeling
plan b - she said (yet more rapping)
billionaire - bruno mars (stone me! rap again!)

and many more. you could say we play a varied set. it would be an understatement if you saw the full list of 500+ songs we cover...

roll on saturday, forget this cuemaking malarky and be a rock and roll star for a couple of hours.

lol, that's the only reason i play. saves paying for a lap dance

actually i have loads of vids i need to post when i get time. always hard getting good recordings though.

i don't wanna sound bigheaded, but we f*cking rock when we play. seriously. if i wasn't committed to cues, i'd be all over this like a rash.

Some top tunes Mike, do you do a bit of oasis/stereophonics/bon jovi type of stuff as well...?

I'm thinking maybe it's time to dig out the guitar from the loft that the Mrs bought me 20 odd years ago
together with a Bert Weedman tape (rip Bert) how to play the guitar, it's that old its on VHS !!
Despite my best intentions never got round to learning, never too late I suppose
