Looking to buy a black one piece aluminium cue craft case.

Ive read that there's some fakes knocking about

Is there anything to tell them apart?

I have used only the genuine ones. I’m sure many here have come across both and can tell the difference.

I can tell what I have felt:

Very heavy and great quality, Very strong and inpact resistant end caps, Locks and keys quite heavy and well made. Foam fits snug.
