I'm always sketchy bout old machine splicers; they're not always well mated and after time, you can see between the butt and shaft. Not all mind, some. Ok, someone is bound to say we can get separation of butt and shaft on a hand made cue over time as well but obviously, fixing this is much easier.

It kinda looks manufactured if you know what I mean but when you realise its not it makes it even more impressive.

I like the way the ebony outlines the big splices, sets them off a treat. Second pic down shows it off well.

New front splice is an improvement, too much purple for me to begin with and it's me fave colour too. Pattern more balanced now.
