    finished off the cue above with a front splice of bloowood an green veneer
    will be taking it out on the table within the next few days

    popped a ferrule on this the other day. this shaft was given to me by kieth auld about 4yrs ago. spent the day tinkering around with a few cues i had as he was showing me some moves, then at the end of the day he put this in my hand an said when i was ready i could have a go at finishing it.





    its going back in the corner for now but im looking forwards to getting into it at some point. looks like a nice very piece of wood

    this is the first cue to come through off the new log










    this has been finished naturally with the merbau wood dust from the butt, sealed an oiled

    I can imagine it will be an even bigger buzz if someone else makes a ton with a cue you made

    im trying to put in two hours a day, aplying myself the same way as when i was practicing on the table.. when i made my first cue that i thought was a nice player, the feeling was very much like having your first ton. since then iv been making cues that not only play well but look an feel pretty good too, so for me thats like when i made my first 130+ break


    How many hours a day are you putting aside for the cue work?

    the latest is this multi splice custom cue








    23 inch double splice in merbau with walnut burl veneers an a blood wood front splice
