    To be fair you'd need the butt of the cue to attach the mini butt to it to before cutting the flat on the mini butt to make it match the one on the cue butt, otherwise it could end up anywhere.

    You’re probably doing similar already.. but i would seriously consider pursuing this sort of thing professionally, failing that .. be a french polisher, or something like that.. who can repair and re-finish sentimental items for ppl ? ( just an idea )
