  • Century Cue Tips

    Hi guys

    Anyone tried these?

Thinking of giving these a try once I get a new cue, but thought I'd see if anyone here has used them

    I've used a G1.

Very nice and solid feel, not soft in my opinion but grips chalk/CB well.

Having just tried a Grand soft, I can honestly say they feel very similar and so I cannot see myself buying anymore century pros given the price difference.

Interested in other people's experience as I'm still finding my grail tip

I've tried the G1 G3 and G4, the G1 is very lively but I do prefer a harder tip, the G3 was really nice but the edges didn't burnish very well, the leather fibers are quite course, the G4 was a bit lifeless, probably make a decent tip for a UK pool break cue

            G3 for me.

I tried the G1 which was nice and soft but I prefer the tip a little harder after using Talisman Softs.

I then tried the G2 and settled on the G3 which was just right.

What I find with the G3 is I don't have to wander too far from the centre to get action on the cue ball so there's a lot less effort to get the cue ball moving.

In my opinion, the tips are superb and certainly consistent.

It was actually the G3 that I was thinking of getting

Shockerz and Dave are you still using the CC tip?

                Yep, love them!

I was struggling a little lately and I normally blame the tip so thought I's give them a try, so glad I did.

I change tips for people and a few have them have tried them and once they have the right one there's been some really good feedback.

Like Dave says, they are different but that's the point; they have been sorted to their different hardness's so when you need to change the tip you just pop the same number on.

It juts takes away all that poncing about trying to find a tip that was the same as the last one rather than playing the tip lottery when you have a box of inconsistent ones.

                            Pretty much, yes.

I tried a Grand Soft in between, and get more or the same feel\fizz from them.

I use both and find them both consistent.
