        • Very nice, Dan, is that the one you were talking about the other day? Lovely splicing, and I like the mini-butt too. Good job, mate.

If you look here you can see what i had to start with, and you can see how it progressed: http://s611.photobucket.com/albums/t...978/?start=100

            Original spec:
Length: 58" Steamed Pear machine spliced to Rosewood butt (Laquered)
            Weight: 17OZ (Very forward weighted)
Butt diameter and taper: 32mm with Billiard type taper
            Tip size: 10.5mm
            No additional splices

            Updated spec:
Length: 57.5" Steamed Pear machine spliced to Rosewood butt, shaft and butt refinished.
Weight: 17.5OZ, weight brought back 3/4 inch and Airlock butt join added
Butt diameter and taper: 29.5mm with modern type taper
            Tip size: 9.2mm
Maple and burgundy veneers with Olivewood splice. Olivewood 9" minibutt, grain matched to splice.

This cue was meant to be sold....but i have become very fond of it. Its perfect in every way. But if it has to go, it has to go.

                          • My new craftsman cue. Love the cue, feels brilliant to play with and even if it is a confidence thing I am playing so much better with it than my old one
