  • Are these pockets about right?

Sorry, didn't have a ruler with me... These are images of pockets on my local club table.

Can anyone comment on the pocket size?

Balls are Aramith Tournament Champion 1G Snooker Balls.

              see the following photo
last year a friend asked me to have a look at a table that a friend of his and this is the corner pocket!
Basically, the table was butchered and was approximately a 11'x5' table!

              Up the TSF! :snooker:

Good lord. Finally a table I could make a decent break on.

Was the slate cut down as well? In which way was it butchered?

the rails had all been reduced and new bolt holes added (badly)
At the time, I sent photos to Geoff and he said it had been "modified".

So rails reduced to make the pockets like buckets. Horrible.

I think the table was reduced to fit the "shed" in the garden, hence the out of standard 2:1 ratio of size, not specifically to make bigger pockets; they were the result of the poor reduction.
Not entirely sure of the history as the owner (he says) was second owner and did not do the work.
The table has now gone to the snooker hall in the sky.
Slates to a reclaimation place I would think.
