  • Table Assembly Video

Great video for players to then understand why a table plays great or plays up. And this is the Parris of tables. lol I'm sure lots have seen it before but it may be good viewing for those who haven't.

I cannot believe they jack the table up with such small contact area! (5:30)
Did you put my "1" up ?

I know. We've seen them use that jack on a couple of tables in our league as well. Table top weighs as much as a small car; scary!

Are these Riley tables better in quality than the Star tables?

Playability exactly the same if you're comparing a decent aristocrat, build quality I wouldn't know

                my guesstimate is 1.25-1.5"

on the website they say the slates are 4.5 cm thick = ~1.75"

Think you're probably spot on with those maybe closer to 1.25". No way are they 1.75"

Mondial slates are much better than Chinese slate. The mahogany timberwork is better quality than Star as well IMO. I don't think anything really nice has to be sprayed gold unless................

Once you've got steel blocks, Northern rubber and a No.10, playability should be about the same, though I think the Star template a bit fishy when in use by WS fitters, know what I mean?

the slates are 1.75", the build quality is the same in my opinion, shender Tables (IBSF) is better than a Star tables. and more solid.

I can't stand painted legs and covers, so tacky. Always classy to let the beauty of the wood shine through. As for the lights, uh-oh!
