Lol I'm thinking it's a lot of work for nothing. Would be easier us paying for our match table to be maintained.

Yeah it's just a case of being arsed to go down and sort it ourselves, seems pointless when the rest of the table is knackered.

Wonder how much it would cost to open our own club? The on tables in our town are at the cricket club but the snooker room in general is very neglected!

We've just bought our own balls lol but will certainly suggest that.

Cheers Dean, didn't think of that! The tables a mess tbh, fluff and crumbs under the cushions, rolls off a mile, spots are now divits in the cloth, leathers are black with dirt, pots to Middle are a lottery. Etc etc

It's due August apparently, only waited about 3 years, it's a real mess to be honest but conveniently near. We can only ask I guess.

I think I have bad news for you. If the leathers are so far gone, replacement is probably called for.

If the table hasn't been recovered and levelled yet you might get the fitter to combine the jobs. Leathers aren't expensive.

started a topic Pocket leathers marking balls

    Pocket leathers marking balls

Our new balls are getting marked quite easily and I think it could be the pocket leathers, they are very old and miscoloured, is there any way to clean the leathers? Rather than take the balls home and clean them every week? Or do they need replacing? The cheaper the fix the better as we've already waited years for the club to agree to recloth and level the table.
Working...
