Went for this. A local snooker supplier had them in stock.

Warm is a touch on the yellow side , natural as Dean said .

Natural white I believe is best, else the balls look a bit off-colour

I was hoping to get away with some circular downlights

I'm not sure if you would get an even spread of light with a circular downlighter .
