Lovely insight. First over the ball black was the hardest I think.

Hi Jonny,

Believe it or not, it becomes much easier to pot that ball with side than it does plain ball. Using a little bit of "helping side", just makes the pot feel more comfortable.

You'll find that most of the professionals do exactly the same thing.

I actually find a lot of players do it without even realising it. They think they are hitting centre ball, when in fact they have a touch of side on the cue-ball.
