  • Joy of six for Sean Harvey

IT’S as easy as 1-2-3 for Surrey’s snooker superstar Sean Harvey on the Frames Sports Bar Championship Tour.

The 34-year-old from Longcross defeated John Hunter (Andover) 3-0 in the final of the third leg at Top Spot Snooker Club, Havant.

That’s three tournaments played this season and three resounding victories.

In fact, Harvey has now won all of the last six events he has entered on the Cuestars circuit.

He pocketed ?100 prize money and leads the race for the ?500 for the overall rankings winner.

Such is his dominance, he didn’t drop a single frame in all four of his matches in the tournament sponsored by the host club.

Two Londoners made semi-final exits. Ronnie Blake went out 3-0 to Harvey and newcomer Jake Fowler was knocked out 3-0 by Hunter.

Harvey compiled breaks of 98, 95, 64 and 60. But he didn’t record the highest of the day.

That honour was reserved for 16-year-old Jamie Wilson (Havant), who produced a total clearance of 121 against Oliver Sykes (Chandler’s Ford) in the semi-finals of the Plate.

Wilson then beat home player Elliot Weston 2-1 in the final of the competition for players losing their opening match in the main event.

Harvey has already amassed 75 rankings points, nearly double the 40 collected by Steven Hughes (Chandler’s Ford) and Wilson in joint second. Hunter is two points further back in fourth.
