  • SangSom Six-Red World Championship , Bangkok Sept 1 - 6, 2014

I believe Mark Davis won this event last year by defeating
    Shaun Murphy.

It will be interesting to see who comes out on top this year.

I think Mark Davis has won it twice.

    Looking forward to this.

I'm pretty sure he's won it three times.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.

He won this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Si...d_Championship in 2009 in Ireland.

but it was a separate event and was only played once

Yes Mark Davis has won it 3 times.

I am not a big fan of snooker with shot clocks
and such but I will give it a go this season and
try and enjoy the matches. There should be some
exciting matches and then the Shanghai Masters
              starts shortly afterwards.

I enjoyed watching Murphy and Un-Noon play with
                it ending 5-3 for Un-Noon.
I didnt realize they dont use a shot clock which
                made it much more enjoyable.

I'm enjoying it too ... it's also nice to see a round robin format rather than the more usual knockout ... that's not to say there's anything wrong with a knockout but a round robin makes a nice change

I'm watching on playback. Really enjoying it so far. Did have to laugh seeing John Higgins name as "John Higgins MBE". Lol.

Had some highlights of this on.

I don't like the rule that you aren't allowed to roll up behind a colour. Silly rule. How can they penalise somebody for playing a snooker? The games called snooker.

Strictly speaking it's called the "Six Reds Championship" so not really snooker. Think the idea was just to test the market to see if any interest in a game of quick potting. Dollying up for some folk is "boring" but for the purist then...great shot mate and whose next!

Williams having a poor match here, 4-1 down to Higgins.

My TV has been a bit temperamental lately. My Virgin keeps going down (ooooh missus). Got some guy round tomorrow to fix it. Might put a bit of it on live if he gets it sorted quickly enough.
