To be fair Ronnie played very poor this championship, Matthew had neck problems and Craig...

It has to be said its not that Ronnie is getting worse, Its that other players are getting much better and the standard has increased to the point where Ronnies B game just isnt good enough to beat these top players. Well done to Stuart he played very well. I think either Judd or Shaun are now favorites for the title although if Stuart continues to play like this you cant rule him out either.

Can't see Ronald beating Hendrys seven World titles now, he might win it once more but it's not going to get any easier now for him.

Nice to see Bingham get through to the semi final and i hope he can raise his game because he'll need to
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

It's less than six months since O'Sullivan won the UK title with a fairly underwhelming performance, so you never know. Sometimes an average performance can be enough, and sometimes you can play like Robertson did tonight and still go out.

Wasn't that final about 9-2 at one stage,Trump at the end said O'Sullivan was superb and Trump was really good coming back, don't know if you're talking about earlier rounds though.

Very well played Stuart. Ronnie wasn't at the races however to win that final session 5-1 was fantastic and he deserves all the best of luck in his first crucible Semi final so good luck mate.
Always play snooker with a smile on your face...You never know when you'll pot your last ball.

Yeah, it was 9-4 before Trump's comeback, but I didn't think O'Sullivan played anything special to get to that scoreline. Trump kept making breaks of 40 and failing to defend his lead in frames, while O'Sullivan played well tactically and took advantage of Trump's mistakes.

To be fair to O'Sullivan, he did get stronger with every match in that tournament. The draw really opened up for him in the early rounds, so the first top player he faced was Bingham in the semi-finals. Bingham took a 4-1 lead, then completely collapsed in the second half of the match, unlike tonight. Credit to O'Sullivan for winning the tournament, especially as he was injured that week, but I think "B-game" is quite a fitting description for how he played.

O'Sullivan aside, I think Mark Selby won the 2012 UK Championship in a similarly underwhelming way as well. It happens, sometimes you get most of the top players playing poorly at the same time, while other times the standard is superb and it's a shame there can only be one winner.

Just curious since you've watched snooker which of Ronnie's defeats at the Crucible do you rate as his best performance,2010 to Selby ? 2009 to Allen,2011 to Higgins, last years final ? or other, cheers.
