    With the PTCs in the past with the roll on roll off format the players started bring out their cases and they started putting them by their seats but often in the small cubicles there was not much space. So they were asked by refs to put them under the table and I think it stuck. Some players do put their mini extensions on the table if they have one but most do do the under table.
