  • I wish the Chinese would see how other countries do presentations
Everyman and his dog being announced

It maybe "big money" in China now, because they get a little from many!
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

    • Good match. Gilbert played very well until the last five frames, punishing most of Williams' mistakes and winning frames in one or two visits, but the last couple of hours were like a nightmare for him. We've seen stuff like that many times in the past, so it's not really a huge surprise that a champion like Williams was able to hang in there and come good in the end. Good to see him continuing where he left off last season.

I enjoyed what I saw of this tournament, although unfortunately I wasn't really able to watch much of the early rounds. Hopefully I will have more time once Shanghai comes around.

it's a pain having to sit through all this pap just so I can hear the post match interviews, ridiculous.☹️

        • This presentation ceremony is so tedious that it's bizarrely compelling. They appear to have forgotten the players

          • What a complete waste of time.
Seriously, snooker is it own worst enemy, that was embarrassingly crappy.

If you absolutely had to put your house on the winner at 9 - 5, who would you have gone with? Must admit, I thought Dave would get one frame from the next five, the way he'd been playing. Good job I'm not a betting man ay.

You couldn't hear them anyway, they weren't mike'd up or mixed in properly, pathetic.

Gilbert, definitely. He was just outplaying Williams in every department, kind of like Cao Yupeng was doing against Robertson in the Scottish Open final last season, but that one last frame proved impossible to win again. This will surely be a tough one for him to get over...

Yeah, don't think Mark will be on Gilbert's Christmas list for a while.

                        Never in doubt. ;-)

Just kidding. I haven't seen anything, but of course at 9-5 I would have bet on Gilbert as Odrl stated as well. I feel pity for him, but the final is a result he would for sure have taken before the tournament started. He's in the Top 20 now.
While Mark Williams has a pretty good chance to finish the season at #1.
