  • 2018 Scottish Open

Neither Mark Selby nor Mark Williams will play there.

Also Martin Gould has once again not entered this event.

But a little surprising Ding Junhui is in the draw. Maybe because he is already at Great Britain anyways.

Does Martin not like us Scots?

Ding probably wants to give his tartan suit an airing.

Well played by David. Craig gave him a tough fight.

What is happening to Anthony McGill , cut his hair and lost all his powers .

From what I have seen , thought he would push on up the rankings .

Third year in-a-row for Selby missing the Scottish Open. Can't use his usual too many games" line? Just doesn't want to go basically.

Not strictly correct, he splits his time pretty much 50/50 between China and UK....hrs been back I. Sheffield for the last couple of months, I've seen him a few times at (the new) star academy in Sheffield(Steelers bar).

I must be all snookered out from the UK Championship. Just switched this on and could muster no enthusiasm whatsoever. I might check on the occasional match and probably watch the final, but I think I'm feeling like a lot of the top players are - in other words can't be bothered.

I will probably watch bits of it, but this is why tennis has a break after Grand Slams. It's better for players and fans alike.
