Dennis Taylor said in a BBC piece he had to give Terry Griffiths (and the trophy) a lift to the champions dinner after he beat him 24-16 in the 1979 final. Oh to be a fly on the wall in that car.

I saw that clip when he said Terry didn't have a car so Dennis gave Terry and his wife a lift with the trophy in the boot Knowing what a courteous Irishman Dennis is I'm sure he hid his disappointment.

A piece of tape dropped from above the table just after Trump hit his shot, and fell near the red he was going for. He got the red.

But as great as both are potting I'm somewhat disappointed that there are not more tactical battles. There's no real tension in this final so far.
