Neil Robertson has had retire from his match with Matthew Selt at 3-1 down due to a feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms.

What a great result for Joe Perry , and restricted Judd Trump to 31 points in the last 4 frames .

Maflin must be on cloud nine -
from 3-0 down, to run five frames in a row to win against Higgins

Great to see Shaun Murphy back to form again , he was philosophical and patient about his dip . Lesson is to keep practising , keep believing in yourself and STAY CALM ||

Interesting QF line-up. All of the most prolific winners in recent times are gone, but we do have a few top players who have not been winning a lot recently, namely Murphy, Selby, Williams and Hawkins.

Also here are Perry and Gilbert, two players who have come extremely close to winning big titles in the past. What an excellent chance they have here to finally win their first proper ranking event... An of course Vafei and Maflin will be looking to progress beyond the SF of a ranking event for the first time in their career as well.

Looking forward to the weekend.

just catching up on records very happy for Hossein to get through, twitchy in the 7th frame, the winning line looming large maybe? Up to #31 from 41 with this result M Williams next for him

I wish the TV match was Murphy/Maflin - no offence to Selby and Hawkins - I have it on Player but...

The one time they get it right and still someone complains...

Should be a good day tomorrow. Murphy perhaps looking like the man to beat at this point.

Great to see Vafaei reach the semifinal here. I always felt that his ranking would be a lot higher if he would be able to participate at all the events. Sadly I can't see anything of the tournament right now as I'm in Doha and here my Eurosport Player is blocked....
