As for John...haven't seen him playing so poorly for years...yes he played badly at Shanghan semis but that was quite cool comparing to this

This really is the worst Higgins has played for a long long time. Mark Allen seemed to be cueing nicely, but he made so many unforced errors, despite being put under no pressure whatsoever. He could be in trouble against Selby, although Selby wasn't that impressive himself.

I didn't enjoy this match particularly I'm afraid. Hopefully Day-Perry will be more interesting.
