King will hope to nick as many as these close frames as possible

Maguire not paying his opponent enough respect with that reckless attempt at a pot. The result is a 78 frame winning contribution from King. He now leads 2-0

Brilliant long red from King to start this second frame. He's in around the black spot area

Great start for Mark. A vintage steal after trailing and with the green awkwardly placed on the right cusion. Great stuff

German Eurosport just showed a replay of the final frame from Hendry-Murphy. According to Rolf Kalb that blue was no fluke!! Bring this man a dog and a white walking stick

    I fast agree

(It was unmissable though if there is such a thing under that kind of pressure...)

Willie Thorne said it was ''unmissable'' but cleary it was.

Hendry had a pretty good fluke in an early frame with a long red. A good game but that green was one of the worst misses ever. Willie Thorne said it was ''unmissable'' but cleary it was.

The long game seems to be the most important aspect now. Thats what seems to be the key to winning games.

One thing you cannot practice, is pressure.

In the context of the tournament, I thought Murphy looked great at 5-3, but then missed a couple towards the end. Still, I think he's the first player to really put his name in the hat of title contenders so far.

A little break now, and then Maguire-King.
