I don't like speculating but I wonder how much Barry Hearn or any other "corrupt" World Snooker insider paid Mark King to lose that match to Brecel..... That was simply the worst I have ever seen Mark King play, it was if he gave countless opportunities for Brecel to win the match.........

I might have posted this before but I watch all the action live on www.hahasport.com. Up to now just 2 televised tables.

I agree with you totally. I was watching his match with Mark King, live online, ended at almost 1am my local time here. I'm especially impressed at how he handled his emotions in frame 17. If he had lost that frame, the tally would have been 9 frames each and the final outcome would probably be different again!

He is a real deal alright and for a chap that's so young, his has some awesome mental toughness in him, apart from the other obvious talent! Looking forward to seeing him play again in the main draw

In fact, three have (Gilbert, Cao Yupeng, Luca Brecel). But no, it's not a new record (if you go back to the 90s, there were sometimes 5 or 6 from outside the top 64).

There's a chance we could get Hendry v O'Sullivan in Round 1. That would be interesting.

Stephen Lee v Peter Ebdon would be another great draw. Both on form and who can forget their match from years ago with all Ebdon's shouting "COME ON!"

I think Brecel did very well this week and look forward to seeing him a bit more next week.

I'd like to see him play Trump or Robertson in round one and I can see an O'Sullivan Vs Ebdon getting pulled out of the hat tomorrow which would be worth it just to see Ronnie's face.

Brecel was over 70 to 1 the other day to win the WC but I don't think he will do it this year but I reckon some people probably won a bit from him getting through to the finals.

Yet another wonderful decision by World Snooker to put Ebdon/Burden on TV tonight at 9-0. Of course, it ended in 15 minutes and now we have a perfectly good camera going to waste when there's exciting action in the other matches.

Yet another example of why ALL the tables should have recording equipment available.
