I just hope that Selby doesn't get up to his old tricks of the world final where he started to really slow the play down. He has more gamesmanship tricks than any other player I've seen, he's a sly fella, no doubt, I hope Ronnie dishes out a masterclass in how to play the game.

Yeah that's an annoying thing about Selby - one really need to have some patience to play against him.

Truth be told. Murphy is redeeming himself in my opinion. After a few years of being one of my least favourite players, he seems to be rebuilding himself. His level of play is extraordinary, very consistent and the respect he gives to the fans is also admirable.

I cannot get over that statement. So is he saying his safety game was poor as you create your own chances. What about frame 1! You couldn't get any easier chance to win a frame (he obviously did). You could say that for all the opponents hes had or anyones had who has lost this week.

I liked the way Shaun stayed behind to sigh autographs after losing tonight. That showed a lot of class as he must have been very disappointed with his performance tonight.

I was correcting Murphy too. It was more than just having the better chances. He has to ask himself why Ronnie had the better chances

The difference was Ronnie's safety success and shot selection. They both missed a few pots, but Ronnie's safety on the whole was better. His shot selection was pretty faultless too, while Murphy's was questionable at times.

After the GP semi he said he "had no chance" after leading 5-2 or something along those lines.
He'll never be a gallant loser, Murphy. It takes balls to admit the other one was better. 22 balls, at least.

"What should be noted is the amount of respect that Ronnie paid me on the table.

"Every time he was playing safe he concentrated on putting the cue ball in the precise position that would make it as tough as possible for me."
