I see milkins having the temper of a three year old again. Must be off-putting to his opponent.

Good start from Lisowski. Trump will have to take more care with his break-off shots.

Lisowski is playing the best snooker of his carreer, he goes for anything and anything works well. Trump must feel like he's the most unlucky guy in the world...

What about that performance! He's getting ready for the World Champ...

Lisowski's third win over Trump, first one in a major event. I'm not sure, but I think this might be Lisowski's first ever win at a venue stage of a "standard" ranking event, and thus his first ever appearance in the last16. And it's a great chance to go further as well, because the other seed in this part of the draw is the struggling Mark Davis.

China has been the place of a couple of breakthroughs in the past and this could be Lisowski's week. Today was certainly a lot better than anything he had played on TV in the past.

Great stuff, definitely Lisowski's best live performance so far & without a doubt one of the few performances where someone has been able to upstage Judds all out attacking style.

I'm sure we'll be seeing these 2 battle it out many times over the next few years & no doubt we'll be treated to a few more crackers.

When in fact he's no more lucky or unlucky than the next guy .. because luck only exists in the human perception of random events with no actual bias toward or against the agents involved in them

Sorry, this is not directed at you or anyone in particular I just find it amusing that 6 months back the talk was all about how lucky Judd Trump is, and how he uses luck to beat opponents. Well, "luck" always balances out eventually because there is no such thing, there is just random chance and the very human desire to "see" patterns in things.

Great chance now for Selby to regain the n1 spot just before the Worlds.

I don't believe luck has anything to do in Lisowski's victory... In fact, I can't think of a particular game of snooker that luck or unluck had completely spoiled. Luck surely helps at times, but it's a very, very minor factor in a game of snooker. You can be lucky as s***, if you've got no nerves and composure, you're screwed

What I meant is that Judd has suffered a lot of early exits in major ranking events this year because the guys he played were just playing way above their average level.

Anyway, no doubt Lisowski's a future star. He plays well, in a fine style, he's cool and handsome. You'll see his face on every tourney's promo poster as soon as he gets into the top 10.

Who said it did? Hard work and nerve all the way.

I agree, "luck" can play a part in a match and mostly it has a minor effect, but sometimes a piece of luck is all that divides 2 players each playing excellent snooker and that's just something that will occasionally happen, but even so that "luck" will (statistically) even out over time.

Judds recent bad luck is just this evening out, he's had the good, now he's suffering the bad. It's all swings and roundabouts really.

What a match, jack v Judd, watching it felt like witnessing a new dawn in snooker, similar to the feeling I had watching Ronnie v hunter at the masters all those years ago....

Should be a good chance for Robertson to make up a bit of leeway too - assuming he makes some decent progress that is.

Let's hope it won't get to him too much, as it has with Trump ...
