    I actually tried one, orange it was and didn't work at anything above slow pace, which defies the object of the so called increased grip on the cue ball. I also have an artificial leather tip which I haven't tried yet, probably won't bother.

    There were rubber tips out years ago ,I remember being in a pub with a pool table that had them ,the idea was about as useful as fitting ejector seats to helicopters
